Discrimination

Villanova University is dedicated to educating students of diverse backgrounds and identities and to fostering broad appreciation for difference and diversity.

Discrimination against any person on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age, veteran status, disability, or gender identity is not tolerated.

Discrimination on the basis of sex, including sexual assault, sexual harassment or other sexual misconduct, is addressed more fully in the University Sexual Misconduct Policy.

Villanova University finds such discriminatory conduct particularly harmful and encourages students who feel that their rights as fully participating members of the community may have been restricted to seek remedy through the Code of Student Conduct, the Dean of Students, the Office of Intercultural Affairs, the Office for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, or, in the case of sexual discrimination, the University’s Title IX Coordinator. Students who engage in discrimination are subject to the full range of sanctions and resolution options outlined in the Code of Student Conduct.
